I have been a Spiritualist for over 30 years, and was recently awarded Certificates of recognition in speaking and demonstrating mediumship (CSNU) by the Spiritualists National Union.
Although I had many 'unusual' experiences as a child, I was 18 years old when I first became aware of spiritualism. By chance I came across an advertisement for the famous Medium - Doris Collins who was to appear in my hometown. Although I didn't get a message that night I was given a leaflet for a local Spiritualist Church, and decided to investigate further.
I started to develop as a Medium myself and began working in Churches and Centres around the UK. It wasn't long before I was asked to do public meetings to help raise money for charities and good causes. I was glad to help in any way I could.
Many local newspapers reported sell out events where audience members offered to sit on the floor just to be part of an evening. In 1994 my first book The Breath of Life was published. As my mediumship progressed I was very lucky indeed to become friends with and work alongside some of the country's most famous and reputable Mediums including the late great Gordon Higginson; Albert Best; Doris Collins; Psychic Artist Coral Polge; Colin Fry; Glyn Edwards; Eileen Roberts and many others.
I appeared on the BBC 1 Kilroy show alongside such renowned spiritualists as Jean Bassett, Nella Jones and Doris Collins, and have worked with David Frost on his programme 'Night Visitors' which featured Toyah Wilcox, Lynsey De Paul and Sian Phillips. On BBC Radio 4 I along with Gordon Higginson, Glyn Edwards, Marion Dampier-Jeans and Doris Collins discussed spiritualism and mediumship as part of Robbibe Robertson's Ad-Lib programme.
I worked with Gordon, Glyn, Eilleen Roberts and George Cranley at the Arthur Findlay College (AFC) in the early 1990s and was involved with and filmed demonstrating mediumship with Glyn and Gordon in the Sanctuary at AFC, by the BBC for an Open Space series Programme titled 'Close in Spirit' which was aired in late 1992.
In 2001, I met a local medium Tracy Hall following the death of her Brother, and was able to deliver a powerful and meaningful message to her, which helped her to continue with her own spiritual work. Our friendship grew, and in 2005 we were married.
We have been lucky enough to appear on radio and television together and our work has been featured in numerous local and national newspapers and magazines, including the Psychic News, Woman's Own, Daily Express.
Just after our book was published in 2008, we had to take a break from our work, when our granddaughter came to live with us. She was diagnosed with a life limiting genetic disorder and her parents were unable to care for her, so we sold our home, and gave up everything to give her the best life possible, with lots of love and stimulation.
She very sadly passed over at a young age and we have been gradually starting to rebuild our lives again, and our mediumship is something we feel we can offer to help others who might be grieving.
We are currently taking spiritualist church services and are tutors for some of the Spiritualists National Union's (SNU) long distance learning courses.
Pictured below are some of the amazing people I have had the pleasure of working with throughout my career as a medium.
